When we are facing a challenge, most of us will fight it hard. This is the old thinking pattern which leads to negativity. Here are a few ways to modify the old thinking pattern and bring yourself into a positive thinking mode.

First, never let negative advice bother you. If a security guard’s wife complains about being a night guard, tell her that it is not your fault and then inform her that she should go talk to her husband about it. The security guard job is stressful enough without adding more stress to an already challenging situation. If a security guard’s boss makes some disparaging remarks about him, simply dismiss them. You may need to put some distance between you two, but it is important that she is not able to contact you .

Most security guard jobs require you to be on your feet all day long, sometimes for long periods at a time. If you work in an office building, it is important that you are comfortable with your legs. Dress well so that they do not hurt. Shoes and socks should be worn when working, no matter where you are working.
