When we are faced with a challenge, most of us will fight it hard. This is the older thinking pattern which results in negativity. Here are a few ways to modify the old thinking pattern and bring yourself into a positive thinking mode.

First, never let negative advice bother you. If a security guard’s wife complains about being a night guard, tell her that it is not your fault and then tell her that she should go talk to her husband about it. The security guard job is stressful enough without adding more stress to an already challenging situation. If a security guard’s boss makes some disparaging remarks about him, simply dismiss them. You may need to put some space between you two, but it is important that she’s not able to contact you again.

Most security guard jobs require you to be on your feet all day long, sometimes for extended periods at a time.
