When we are faced with a challenge, the majority of us will fight it hard. This is the old thinking pattern that leads to negativity. Here are a few ways to change the old thinking pattern and bring yourself into a positive thinking mode.

First, never let negative information bother you. If a security guard’s wife complains about being a night guard, tell her that it is not your fault and then tell her that she should go talk to her husband about it. The security guard job is stressful enough without adding more stress to an already challenging situation. If a security guard’s boss makes some disparaging remarks about him, simply ignore them. You might have to put some distance between you two, but it is important that she’s not able to contact you .

Most individuals do not realize that the way you think is also how you act. If you start to get rid of the things in your life that are not worth you doing, you will start to notice you have less stress. This is because you’re getting to be someone who’s organized, practical, and effective. When you think in those terms, you will not be thinking about why you aren’t having as much fun at your job as you once did. Instead, you’ll be focusing on how you can improve your work performance so that you can offer the very best customer service possible.

Most security guard jobs require you to be on your feet all day long, sometimes for long periods at a time. If you work in an office building, it is important that you are comfortable with your legs. Dress well so they do not hurt. Shoes and socks should be worn when working, wherever you are working. If you can, try to discover a fantastic closet that allows you more space so you can change your outfit easily without getting up.

Security guards aren’t hard workers. They get the job done because they love their job. See how other folks are feeling and thinking and see if you can apply some of this to your own job.

When you get home, spend time doing mental workouts. There is a big difference between your thought processes when you are at home and when you’re working. On the flip side, once you’re out on the street, you are under plenty of stress and the final thing that you would like to do is to not be concentrated.
